MARCO SPECIALIZES IN TRAINING AND NUTRITION COACHING TO HELP CLIENTS BUILD MUSCLE, LOSE FAT, GET STRONGER, AND BECOME THE MOST CONFIDENT VERSION OF THEMSELVES. 

Marco moved to Whistler from Toronto, Ontario, in 2010. Unlike most fitness pros, his lifestyle was what most people would call unhealthy and sedentary until his mid-30’s. He was not a huge fan of exercising until age 36, when he decided it was time to make a change, so he embarked on a journey towards improving both his health and his mindset. 

He made all the most common mistakes at first, learning from them as he went. He was doing excessive cardio, eliminating his favorite foods, and starving his body of fuel. He began barbell training and learning more about evidence-based nutrition in 2013. Then his body started changing as his lifts increased, and that got him hooked on training. This led him to develop a passion for helping others navigate the same challenges that he previously faced, so he became an NSCA Certified Personal Trainer in 2015.

Marco completed the Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification then shortly afterward, completed the 12-month MNU Certified Nutritionist course, which is the gold standard for evidence-based nutrition. 

His passions include travel, surfing, paddleboarding, snowboarding, biking, and cooking (especially making artisan pizzas). You might find him at one of the local lakes here in Whistler during summer since he loves water and hot weather.

Over the past few years, Marco has also developed a passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He trains a few times a week at Whistler’s own Mountain BJJ and loves helping fellow practitioners improve their strength, conditioning, and injury resistance.
