What You Can Expect
You'll deliver personalized training and active rehabilitation to a diverse clientele — from high-performance athletes to those recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions, or preparing for surgery. You'll work within a supportive team of kinesiologists and trainers who care deeply about doing things the right way, in a private studio environment where the focus is always on the client.
The Fine Print
Role Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate clients’ movements, needs and goals during consultations
Recommend training/rehabilitation options for clients based on their consultation
Develop and implement appropriate programming
Maintain records and notes pertaining to programming
Work as part of a team with effective and timely communication
When necessary, provide treatment plans and reports to various insurers (i.e. ICBC or WorkSafeBC)
Maintain membership in good standing with BCAK
Invoice for completed hours at month-end
Actively promote Peak Training + Rehab/their role to attract new business to the studio
Maintain responsibility for your own CPP, EI, and tax contributions as a subcontractor

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics
Active member in good standing of BCAK (or other provincial Kinesiology Association with the intention to transfer)
Valid First Aid / AED / CPR certification
Individual professional liability insurance
Business license
Experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently as well as with a multidisciplinary team, including professionals outside of our organization
Field-related experience is an asset, but not a strict requirement. Candidates will be considered if they have a sound knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology with minimal field-related experience, and they must be willing to self-study to fill identified gaps in knowledge.
